CGTN America Joins TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 on AI Cooperation

TechCrunch's Disrupt 2025, one of the world's premier technology and startup conferences, took place from October 27 to 29 at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco. This year, CGTN America participated as an official partner, marking a significant step in enhancing the network's involvement with the global innovation ecosystem.
As part of the partnership, CGTN's brand and website (CGTN.com) were prominently featured across TechCrunch's official event platforms, which emphasized the network's role in broadening China's presence in international technology discussions and fostering cross-border collaboration in the field of innovation.
During the conference, CGTN America hosted roundtable discussions under the theme 'China's Role in Global AI Cooperation.' These sessions focused on collaboration between China, the United States, and the Global South in sectors such as artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and green technology. The discussions highlighted shared opportunities for inclusive, safe, and sustainable technological development.
Rui Ma, Founder of Tech Buzz China, commended China's leadership in digital transformation, noting that 'China has shown that with strong governance and long-term planning, you can move fast at scale.' He pointed out that the integration of digital public services into everyday life serves as a model that many developing countries aspire to emulate.
Rebecca Fannin, Founder of Silicon Dragon Ventures, praised China's swift transition of innovation into practical applications in areas like AI, green technology, and digital infrastructure, stating that this is 'something the world can learn from.' She also stressed the significance of constructive collaboration between the U.S. and China, adding, 'Despite competition, there’s still a strong foundation for cooperation in fields like climate tech and AI ethics. When the two largest innovation ecosystems unite, it benefits the entire world.'
Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association, highlighted China's partnerships with developing economies, remarking that 'China's cooperation with the Global South through digital infrastructure and technology sharing is playing a pivotal role in narrowing the global technology divide.'
