Top Agritech Fair Kicks Off in Germany

Agritechnica, the world's foremost agricultural machinery trade fair, commenced in Hanover, Germany, featuring a week-long showcase centered on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in modern farming practices.
This year's fair, themed "Touch Smart Efficiency," has drawn approximately 2,800 exhibitors from 52 countries and regions, highlighting advancements in agricultural machinery, digital technologies, and integrated farming solutions.
Among the exhibitors, China has made a notable impact, placing third with 250 exhibitors, following Germany and Italy. Notably, a record 68.5 percent of the exhibitors hail from foreign countries, signaling the fair's growing international appeal.
Lothar Hoevelmann, managing director of the German Agricultural Society (DLG), remarked before the opening that agriculture is facing significant challenges. He emphasized that Agritechnica 2025 serves as a crucial platform for presenting sustainable productivity solutions and fostering dialogue among practitioners, scientists, and industry leaders.
The DLG estimates that around 430,000 visitors are expected to attend this year's event, which is closely aligned with the record attendance of over 470,000 witnessed in 2023.
Exhibitors at Agritechnica are showcasing a variety of innovations, with a strong focus on enhancing efficiencies and integrating smart technologies into agricultural practices.
